Michael Gove Visits Tea and Memories

On Friday 2nd November 2018 Tea and Memories at the Rainbow Cafe welcomed a very well known guest, Michael Gove the Member of Parliament for Surrey Heath!

As anyone who has ever been to one of Gill’s vintage tea parties at the Rainbow Cafe would expect, Michael loved the excellent sandwiches and lashings of tea on offer to guests (see his website for the proof!).  He also enjoyed the chance to speak to some of the Surrey Heath Age Concern trustees (Chris Russell and John Phillips) about the Rainbow Cafe and the excellent work our charity does to help the older generation in our community.  He also chatted with our Tea and Memories regulars and I know that our regulars really enjoyed the chance to meet him as well!

All-in-all the day proved to be a great success for Surrey Heath Age Concern, our Tea and Memories regulars and Michael had a great time too!

Tea and Memories takes place in the Rainbow cafe in Camberley most Tuesdays from 3pm – 4:30pm and costs just £2.50 per person, please call Gill on 01252 266841 or e-mail her at ageconcern-fandc@hotmail.co.uk to book your place.
