Vintage Tea Party Goes From Strength to Strength

I recently decided that I was well overdue a visit to one of our Vintage Tea Parties, held at the Rainbow Cafe in Camberley from 3 pm to – 4:30 pm on most Tuesdays. If you would like to come along then please call 01252 266841 or email . I was very pleased to see a really healthy mix of our Tea and Memories regulars (who really do enjoy themselves so much, that they keep coming back for more!) and some new and very welcome faces!

As ever, Gill and her cheerful band of willing volunteers did an excellent job of keeping us all well entertained, happy, very well fed and watered! Sandwiches, snacks, gallons of tea and some excellent cakes were all on offer to the guests. This time the after tea entertainments consisted of a valentines themed quiz and a raffle, with some excellent prizes on offer! I recently ran into Gill shopping for raffle prizes, whilst doing a spot of shopping myself, so I know a great deal of time and effort, does go into the raffle prizes. The valentines quiz can only be described as ferociously difficult, I am really not sure how Gill comes up with the questions. I suspect with the introduction of the quiz night, there may be some competition within SHAC, to see who can come up with the most difficult questions! I must admit to being pretty hopeless with the answers, however luckily our knowledgeable guests proved to be much more able quiz-masters than myself!

Once again, I think that it’s crystal clear from all the happy smiling faces, what a fantastic job that Gill and her band of volunteers are doing and that the Vintage Tea Party continues to go from strength-to-strength, so we thank them all for doing such a fantastic job and keep up the excellent work!
