Surrey Heath Age Concern are looking for volunteer drivers.

Once a month on a Sunday afternoon a group of older people and their drivers attend a tea party at a local venue.  We all know that Sunday afternoons can be lonely and this gives everyone a chance to get together, enjoy good food and have a laugh in the company of friends.

On a Tuesday afternoon we meet at the Vintage Cafe for what only can be described as a time of reminiscence.  We go back in time to a gentler era and enjoy a lovely tea with bone china cup and saucers, pretty cake stands and make new friends in an atmosphere filled with fun and laughter.

Our drivers are encouraged to stay and enjoy tea with their guests.

We need drivers to transport our guests to these events and would love to hear from you if you can help us.

Travel expenses of 45p per mile are paid to our drivers.

If you would like to light up the life of an older person living in your area please call us on 01252 266841 or email us at office@sh-ac.org.uk
