Tea and Memories
Tea and Memories is a pre and post COVID-19 crisis event, it is currently not being held, but will return as soon as the relevant government restrictions have been lifted.
Tea and Memories is held on most Tuesday afternoons at the Rainbow Cafe, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. It is a chance for the older folks to reminisce and to enjoy a good old-fashioned vintage tea party. Guests are served high tea, with sandwiches, cakes and tea; the entertainments usually include: music, games and a general knowledge quiz, all aimed at the older generation.
Booking is essential, but tickets only cost £3.00 per person, for further information or to book a place, please contact us. Details of previous Tea and Memories events may be found in our “SHAC News” Section. Any surplus money from the sale of tickets goes to fund SHAC’s other activities within the local community.
Although we do not operate a strict age policy, Tea and Memories is aimed at a younger, more mobile audience than our Visiting and Befriending Service, but slightly older than quiz night. It is intended as an introduction to SHAC and our services.
