SURREY HEATH AGE CONCERN CIO
Your Local Independent Charity Working for the Local Community.
We, as residents, would like to thank you for your selflessness in helping those around you that could not get out and about themselves during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Our Charity has also continued working during this trying time, turning our Visiting& Befriending service into a Telephone Befriending service along with a shopping, prescription service and any other personal help as required. This has been a dramatic Lifeline for our clients. Our volunteers and referrals from SHP were done on an at least a twice weekly basis, sometimes more, for health and well being reasons.
Continuing to move forward with the lock-down being relaxed, many amazing volunteers have now had a glimpse at how so many elderly live during ‘normal times’ and understand how valuable such contact and friendship is to them.
Perhaps you would like to continue giving back to your community and so ask you to consider becoming a Visiting & Befriending Volunteer with us. We know that there are many elderly and vulnerable people within the Borough who will still be requiring our help when SHP is closed so your time and care could still make all the difference.
Please drop us your name, email and/or mobile number at
and we will be pleased to get the ball rolling together!
If you require any more details please telephone Tracy Hiney, Charity Manager 07902 772585 or visit www.sh-ac.org.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you.Surrey Heath Age Concern
